DSL Same as Broadband – How?

What does the Broadband Mean?
In simple terms, the broadband basically means that multiple pieces of data are sent simultaneously to increase the speed of the data transfer for the users. In a broadband internet connection, your data transmission line isn't bigger – you just have multiple lines working simultaneously.

Is DSL is same like Broadband?
The confusion is that “is DSL like broadband”. The average computer user today use the broadband internet for the high speed of the internet compare to the dial-up connection and its speed is 56Kbps. A dial-up modem uses a regular telephone line for the internet access, but the DSL modem also uses a regular telephone line for the internet access.
The answer for the question “is DSL like Broadband” is that, DSL is using the same telephone connection as a dial-up modem for the internet access, but DSL uses the telephone line differently than the Dial-up connection. DSL internet connection delivers more data to your computer by using several different frequencies (or bands) simultaneously.
