Some time ago everybody had a home phone. For calling someone you could look their number up in the phone directory. Now the home phones are disappearing because now every person has cell phone in their pocket. Now it’s seems like that nobody is using phone book because the cell phone has its own contact book in which you can save contacts. When you are shifting from one place to another place then you can’t take your home phone with yourself. But it has some advantages:

One of the best advantages of having a home phone is that everyone will be able to get in contact with your "home base". You can find your lost relatives and you school friends by the help of home phones and you can keep in touch with them forever. You can block the calls of telemarketers and collections agents then you relatives will be able to easily contact you.

The home phone is convenient for us. Everyone in your home will be able to use it; especially you can use it for children when they come from school when you are office then you can contact them.
