A great
alternative source of energy is wind turbines. The wind turbines operate from mechanical
energy, the wind has to be changed from kinetic energy to mechanical energy
when the blades of the wind turbines are moving.
Types of wind turbines:
The wind turbines commonly have two
types;
1. Horizontal wind turbines - It does
so in a parallel manner when the wind turbine is moving for producing energy.
In addition, it is placed to face the wind during its time of construction.
2. Vertical wind turbines - These
turbines move in upright manner or perpendicular manner. This type of turbine
is suitable for those areas in which area velocity is nor good or constant and
there is no need of pointing the air direction to this wind turbine.
It
is important to know which wind turbine will be more convenient at the time of
building your own turbine.
